Tarewa Road, Rotorua
Shelter for women and children
Tarewa Road opening in November 2017, this facility has 18 rooms and houses single women and women with children
Heuheu Street, Taupo
Shelter for women and children
Heuheu Street opened in May 2018, this facility has 11 rooms and houses single women and women with children
Pukuatua Street, Rotorua
Sanctuary Manaakitanga (Night Shelter)
Sanctuary Manaakitanga opened in June 2018. We are open for registrations every night of the year from 8-10pm. The facility is then locked until 6am and security guards are on active duty along with the Shelter Manager.
Our Purpose - to provide safe, secure facilities that are adequately staffed to support homeless individuals including women and children
Our Why - New Zealand has a growing housing problem that affects the most vulnerable members in our society. We see a need to offer help to those in need by supporting them to have access to basic needs such as food, shelter, safety, and acceptance
